I love this, quite enchanting. The colouring, his clothes, and face make it feel like something from an old fairy story - that is maybe just a bit scary, especially as the 'magic ball' just glows and he looks transfixed by it.
Wonderful capture

Excellent shot Ray. He looks like Richard Branson, head of the Virgin Empire. He thinks he can perform magic as well. Lol.

Ray, this is the sort of picture I would expect to see in a photo/art gallery with a very large price tag attached. It is so full of character, even the girl in the background wearing a cape is in harmony. My compliments.

Good to take the colours out of the background. It really brings the truck alive. Good shot.

Hey Ray, what a great image. The simplicity of this vehicle compared to what we have nowadays comes over loud and clear. A panelbeater's job must have been so stressful in those days. Haha. Can't imagine what it would have been like to go bouncing down some bumpy country lane in one of those. Ooooooh me back!!!
Desaturating the background is a great idea, it really makes the truck stand out but leaves the modern world available for comparison.
Wonderful.

Another great capture where you've overcome shutter lag. I would have put this in "Decisive Moment" project. More appropriate. My compliments.

Ray, here am I trying to capture birds in flight and you have them fighting to get in the frame. How do you do it - shutter lag and all. Great shot my friend.

I agree with Jeffrey...there is too much, and no clearly defined subject. I also find the crop to be a bit odd.
Keep on shooting,
Marc

This is a nice image, but just a little busy. I would like to see tighter shot, with less competition with other objects.

Hi Ray, Majestic rock.... A tribute to Ansel? I like the framing by the trees on the left, they balance the photo perfectly. Very good shot.

Cheers,

Lovely image of childhood! Can I suggest trimming off the bright bit just above her hat, it detracts from the beautifully lit face!!
