I feel like I am transported to this place but how do I keep that wave from drenching me too? Perfect tones and detail. I wish my eye had a freeze frame option like this. The spray frozen in air is wonderful!

I really like this photo! The composition is pleasing in itself but the different textures and shapes contrast well with each other and the shamrock (or is it oxalis?) tucked in to the mass of mushrooms is a terrific accent! Perfect for St. Patrick's Day! Now -- if you eat those mushrooms will you see the leprechaun and find the pot of gold??

What keeps my interest is the section where the sky and water meet-the light seems to dance there. Great image

Well composed with beautiful contrast between the wood, mushrooms and soil. Would like more depth of field - specifically on the foreground which lacks a bit of detail. Great image! Joggie

Gidday Ray. enjoying the view here! I'm wondering if compositionally you've had to compromise two thoughts. One the sandwhich between the grassy foreground and the frontmost jagged crack in the sky. Two, the things going on in the nice flat sky itself. Like if you'd cropped more right you'd have lost the second break of clouds but the balance between up and down would be a bit better. Don't know. Not very hip with the laws of composition myself. Nice mood.

Is this beach just north of Golden Gate Bridge, one of the first beaches if you heading towards Point Reyes? I took some nice shots there in 1998...see my Tangles up in Green pretty far back in my portfilio for one of the shots I took there if its the same beach.

Nice to see someone using a fast shutter speed on moving water, I'm getting bored with wooly water shots! This one is very good indeed, I like the detail and the natural colours in the water.

This pic drew me like a magnet! Beautiful detail in sand, water, rock and sky but I think it is the composition as well as the subject I am responding so positively to. The sweep of the cove and warm light make me almost feel the breeze and I want to sit there and admire for an hour or two, watching/hearing the waves roll in and out. Lovely and very natural (no enhanced blue of sky or water.)

Hi Ray,
That is quite a nice shot, and well composed! A tighter crop around the bird could possibly enhance the image further!
Also, reminds me of a similar picture I have in my portfolio - titled 'Touching Down'! http://www.usefilm.com/browse.php?mode=user&uid=33468&offse t=30
Cheers, NN
