Wow - I really cannot believe that I missed this the first time around. I mean it is not exactly camoflauged lol
This is a super photograph Ian, the colours and detail are amazing and the about is very interesting indeed. I guess I will never complain again about using a 2litre can to finish off the bathroom ceiling lol

Hi Ian, wonderful colours in this shot, only thing I think the top of the pic is too dark. Thank you for your comment. Will resubmit a croc shot I took here at Hartleys Creek Zoo, Port Douglas. Very impressive animals!! Regards Kev

Heiko
Hard to believe further up this thread I am saying croc attacks are rare and then this one, which even the experts are puzzled to a croc travelling over 150 meters from the water and into the tent and grabbing this Aussies leg and trying to drag him back to the water, (lucky) for him the 60yr old women leaped onto its back and got a broken arm from the powerful tail for her trouble, but the croc released the guy and then someone else in the group shot the reptile.
This will go down as the most unusual crocodile attack to ever be seen in Australia, as it is unknown for an attack this far from the waters edge.
We live and learn Ian

Hi Ian,
thank you for the answer. The german word "Hinterland" usually means something like the country behind something i.e. city, coastline. (hinter = behind, land = country) Seems to fit on your "Gold Coast Hinterland". And it's not surprising that the number ouf tourists is increasing if you keep on shooting pictures like this. And by the way, yesterday I saw news on german TV about a crocodile attack on an "unhappy camper" in Australia. Really was a weird story.

Heiko, good question, here is the what it means in the case of the 'Gold Coast Hinterland':
THE Hinterland, also known as the "green behind the gold", is the Gold Coast's best-kept secret that is being discovered by an increasing number of visitors.
Located just 30 minutes drive from the coastal strip, the Hinterland is the Gold Coast's natural "theme park" - along with its famous beaches, of course!
The Hinterland contains an amazing 29 national parks and nature reserves, World Heritage-listed national parks, Australia's largest area of subtropical rainforest, the world's biggest volcanic caldera (of which Mt Warning is the "core") and 300kms of walking trails.
Cheers Ian Brisbane

Great shot Ian. The blue sky is fantastic. Don't know about the tree in the foreground. It's right in the middle and takes away a lot attention from the landscape. Just curious: What does Hinterland mean? Is it from the german word "Hinterland" or is it a landscape in Australia? Or somethin totaly different?

You say you?re new in photograph.I?ve a look at your portfolio- my congratulations- either you learn fast or/and are very gift, as all of your pictures are of a seasoned photographer.I suspect you even are very well off into the tricky software programs, as some of your pictures let me guess so. I?m older than you, if so allow me to give an advice, concentrate in what you do better and create your own style, in a way looking at your pictures we know are yours.Forget critics.Who knows do. Who don?t, are too critical. Be happy with photograph and freedom of creation. Regards jorge from your down-under, Portugal
