I see you are a lover of small flowers (and big ones) Wonderful Photograph Bruce, Great colors and clarity and Composition. I envy you on the quality you've been getting with your film camera. I have a Canon AE-1 Program that I have had very Little success with. I just don't how to use it. It's soo easy to delete bad shots with the digital.

Thanks for sharing? Thanks for all the wonderful comments on my Photographs.
Your friend, Peter

Any PS work with this piece? It's cool but the iris seems almost superimposed on the grass behind it.

I think your right. I had some bees fly in while I was photographing, but the shutter speed was all wrong so it didn't come out right, but I'll be ready this next spring.

In thumbnail size this is my favourite of the "blue eyed grass" series. I imagine the original was sharp as scanning in negatives often results in a reduction in crispness, you could always try a little unsharp mask in Photoshop. A great study of this flower though and good use of DoF.

Very nicely composed and exposed. A nice subject as well. Could be nice if the background (bohek) was less in focus and simpler. Thanks for sharing.

I only use natural light. I try to do all my photgraphy on cloudy days so the sun will not bleach out the color.
As far as the scan goes, all the other shots the color was correct, but out of focus so I didn't use them.

Wonderful Photograph Bruce, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented. What was the light source? Also since this is a color negative and was probably scanned then the scanner can change the colors.

I did not use anything to change the color of this flower. That is the color that it actually is. I try to do all my photography out in the woods on days that are overcast so that the sun doesn't effect the color of the flowers.

I love the tones in this...did you use any photoshop and desaturate the image a little bit? or is this just the way it turned out...
Its beautiful!
