Hi Ian - I don't know enough about these camera to offer any meaningful advice. I do know that the Rolleicord has a great reputation (evident on ebay last I checked) and if you can get a functioning one for cheap I don't see how you could go wrong. They are easy to take along. The medium format would suit your sensibilities, I think. One thing that strikes me everytime I pick one with a straight viewfinder is how nice it is to compose. The mirror image throws me a little every time but it is also a good tool for disconnecting an overly analytic approach to putting the scene together.

Charming shot of a lovely doll? yours? Did you make her ;-)? Sweet baby? About your picture ? a fine moment Stefan but the image appears flat and dark on my monitor. I took the liberty and enclose the changes ? a quick strategy among others? ( I really hope you dont mind)
1 duplicate layer 2 image / adjustment / highlight 3 lower opacity to desired level 4 adjust levels 5 again duplicate layer and apply careful sharpening 6 flatten the image

Oh a yashicamat! I'm testing the medium format waters and at the moment seem to have a choice between a rolliecord with I assume a triotar lens going v. cheap or a diacord l which sounds really nice with a tessar comparable to that on the yashica it seems. A cheaprollei or a nice by all reports but unsung ricoh... where would you go Stephan, any experience with a triotar lens?

Hi Stefan,
this is a perfect example for the charm of the children. My theory is that adults have about 2-3 face gestures. Children have about 2-3 k(!). And you managed to capture a very special one. A mixture of shyness, tiredness and laugh. nice one.
best wishes, Thilo

Hi Stefan, Speaking of sky... The darker sky background does work well here. It does create a little more of a darker mood over-all than the white sky in my similar shot. Andre

Wow this is really nice Stefan, the lighting and colors are beautiful, the clarity excellent, and the repeating shapes and form make a wonderful abstract. Talk about imaginations, the right side almost reminds me of the intestines..(sorry, nurse here) a great experiment, creative and beautiful..I also like the posts in the comments...interesting how just changing the color adds a whole new look, the warm toned one definitely looks like the intestines, hahaha. great job Stefan...Linda
