hmm is good, but i find it a little dull, as in lighting,, allso you got vinigering as well all corners of photo,, ither wrong size filter (small) or to manny stacked? wrong lenshood? good photo tho im heading that way soon,,

I also took one in color. Some of the details in the IR are there that aren't in the color picture because of the nature of the filter. I like the IR/BW photo a lot better.

Being quite new to IR myself (I've shot a grand total of one roll), all I have to say is that it looks like you've nailed the technical aspects of IR. The exposure is good and your focus is perfect! With IR it's tempting to go out and shoot photos of any greenery one comes across, so I'd concentrate on finding places that have strong compositional elements, lines and textures. Water and foliage is usually a good IR combination. This is a pretty good shot. The sidewalks provide some nice lines that pull the eye into the photo, however, by placing the lamp post in the very center of your shot, you're inadvertently bringing all of our attention there. Why the lamp post? Is it really that important?

Congrats on your first IR stint. You were much more successful than I!

I just put this up for the usual girls and gun "turn on." The "model" is actually my girlfriend and we carry a pistol with us on adventure walks in the middle of nowhere for some plinking fun. Just stay tuned until I put up a MP5 picture...

wow...what a violent scene!..=)
You know what...I feel like there is a mismatch between the backgroung and the model...the railroad in the middle of nowere invites to peace, solitude, and the subject holding a gun, well...also is breaking the perpective...
anyways...just thoughts..
