Hello Tim,Thanks for your recent comments...no I have not been onto Usefilm very often lately...not enough hours in the day.
Just love this one...the format is very strong...and the stepping stone effect take the eye up and through the picture ...great work.
Regards Micky.

Hi Alexey,
I have been away a while....nice to be back...
The detail in this shot is amazing...I feel I could reach out and touch it....love the light...appears to radiate from every angle.
Regards Micky.

Hi Teunis,
Good to be back on U.F.

Hello Coral,Thanks for your comment on my image.

This looks a very tranquil place to be...nice lighting...for me there is a little too much sky...as it is so bright it pulls the eye away from the beautiful forground...try cropping down to the main cloud on the left and see what you think...this is just my opinion...and only a suggestion.
Cheers Micky.

Thanks for the comment Greg...always nice to hear from the locals...the soft background worried me so I actually cropped quite a lot off the sky..probably a bit too much I've decided.
Cheers Micky.

Hi Linn,Another gorgeous floral...very interesting perspective...takes the image one step above the usual...you could have titled this one,"Shy Dahlia"...appears to be holding it's head in a very coy way!!

Hi Peter,
Lovely fresh greens..looks rich and yummy...the use of flash has worked well in this case...throwing a little highlight onto the fruit..we can't grow citrus in our climate unfortunately.Nicely framed as well.

Thanks for your kind comment Linn, the water drops are Micky made in this case we have been having dreadful weather and I have had to bring some of the blooms indoors..yes I am printing the series of rose portraits in the hope of marketing them...I will be envolved in an International Heritage Rose Convention to be held here later in the year...hence the pressure to capture the images at present as many are once summer flowering only....it would be great to earn a few extra dollars doing something I enjoy SO MUCH!!!
Have a great Day.
Regards micky.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your interest...for my macro images I choose the ap.first(in this case a quite small one as I wanted everything sharp) then set the digital camera to super macro...always use a tripod..I do not use extension tubes at all.
For this image I faced the flower towards the strongest light the balanced the light on the back with white card reflectors.
Good luck with your flower portrait coarse,if I can help with anything all please ask.
Regards Micky.

Beautiful portrait of your daughter Howie...her expression is interesting as well as being natural..the side lighting is really lovely...I presume it is natural window light?...I really like images of kids wearing hats just adds that little extra framing to the face which always works for me.Keep up the good work

Very nice image Peter, the one fallen petal gives a delicate touch, the bloom, nicely isolated from the dark background gives a good feeling of depth.
