I don't know why, but I find this image fascinating-- almost in a cartoonish way. (I mean that as a compliment). There's a mood in this picture that conveys (to me) some sort of showdown-- like there's unfinished business between Rusty and the villagers. Then again, I'm probably reading way too much into this... It's a great photo.

I have to admit that I find it hard to look at any photos of this scene; that's certainly not your fault. Excellent composition, though, and the haziness of the skyline works in contrast to the pier.

I love cats but don't usually love cat photos. This one is different, though. That cat's got a lot of character-- not human character, but all cat. She's probably seen a lot in 16 years... I like this image very much.

I like the lighting-- the "washout" effect and the deep shadows around the eyes add something to the overall mood of the portrait.
