Hi Werner, I can only agree with all that Eric says, and regarding the software: take a look at The Gimp (www.gimp.org), you can do almost all you can do with Photoshop, and it is as free as can be. It was originally developped for Linux, but it is ported to Windows, the link to that is on the website. There are also alot of tutorials on that website, so you should be able to find your way around in it.

The way the DOF, perspective and lighting work together to create this image it looks like a scene out of the old puppet-animation T.V. show "Thunderbirds". It looks as though you used a gradient filter to create that bizarre lighting. If I were you, Warner, I would use PS to edit out the dust specs in the clouds and finger smudge in the upper-right corner.
