To get the ant this large in the frame I zoomed (optically) as far as I could, manually focussed as close as I could, then I cropped the result to get the ant this size. This is only a small portion of the full frame. I didn't use an add-on lens. The G3 will focus to approximately 12cm, combining this with the 4x zoom does allow quite large magnifications.

Light is a little bit to strong, and the head is not really sharp enough... But it's still a very good photo. Interesting, good capture!
