Hi John, thanks for taking the time to comment. I have had a close look at the original and it seems ok re noise to me..however I am not great at close vision stuff anything closer than 30 foot and I have difficulty 8-)

It's certainly a lovely image, Brian. The composition is tight, the colours are strong. But I'm getting some "noise" in the sky - maybe in the compression / uploading? AJ

I'm so sorry for you and your family Brian. We are most definitely dog people too and have lost several very good pets. It does take a while to recover...you miss all the little things they do every day that make you smile. It sounds like you gave him a warm loving home and a good life. Warm regards to you all...Susie

Brian - thanks so much for commenting on my carnation shot called "Ruffles and Flourishes". I really like your capture of these lovely delicate lavendar flowers and the way you have focused on the flowers in the foreground and softening the focus as your eyes moves towards the back of the shot. Here it comes... BUT, just my opinion, (and we all know what opinions are) what struck me at my first look at this shot was that the border framing that you did - overpowers the delicate nature of the flowers - the multi-colored borders are almost too much and too large. It would be interesting to see this shot with a more subtle border treatment- possibly using narrower borders. Again - just my opinion. Jan
