Thanks, yes, got the lens thing fixed but now am aggravated about the SS. No option to fill in anything other than what was in the list. Grrr. Anyhow, thanks for your comments. My camera does F2.8 to F11. There was no wind. Part of it is the F2.8 DOF, as you said, and part I imagine image compression. When an image goes from 1,000kb to 50kb, it suffers.

Yay Suzanne, it looks like you got the lens option to allow 'fixed'!
I like ferns, and enjoy this one. I'm going to look at it later from a different monitor, but it seems slightly soft to me, but not soft enough that it seems deliberate. Maybe the aperture could have been a little smaller to get a wider DOF? I wonder if you shot other images of this fern?
Sometimes at f2.8 even the slightest little wind blows something right out of the DOF, at least that is what happens on my images.

Wow, great composition. I love how the trees are infront of it. It makes it more hauted and the black & white just adds to it. The tower also looks like the one from Lords Of The Ring. Don't you think?? Good Job!!!
