Suzanne: Stunning B/W IR, with added reflection and the beautiful swan. Couldn't be improved. Anson

Bill, this has to do with what reflects infrared light more or less. Man made objects do not reflect the light as much as leaves. The trunks of trees do not reflect it as much as the leaves either. This makes for the difference in tones. People in infrared look very ghostly. It is to me, like looking into a world that is there but not usually seen. Great fun when done well. Thanks for the comments.

Yes, well, if I could have adjusted the swan I would have. lol As I mentioned above, he sailed into the image after I had already set up and adjusted my camera. You can probably see he was moving at the time. There is a little blur. A few minutes later he sailed again right out of the image. It was a one time opportunity which I grasped. Glad you liked the image.

Suzanne,
Why did the trees change but not the Swan?
I really like what the filter did to the trees.
That's so cool.

Great IR shot & like the surreal look of the composition. Just an opinion Suzanne, would've preferred a thirds on the position of the swan by situating a little more to right of frame, otherwise like the capture, regards.

Thanks, Bill. Infrared works best with architecture or other forms of man made structure. It also renders great effects to skies and water. It requires a tripod for the longer exposures.
