I love the way the lines of the border between brick and soil converge at the figure like a giant arrow. The huddled pose is moving, as is the expression. A sad poem here.

WOW what a find--looks digitally created until one looks closer. By presenting it in B&W< you focus our eyes and minds on the textures and shapes, making it all the more abstract.

I doubt it was intentional, but the flowers seem to grow naturally out of the painting's colors, shapes and texture! Fun capture.
