This would be a great shot if you edited it in PS and adjusted the levels and color-correction. I just took a copy of it and tried it and you can really make this picture jump out at you.

The cropping out of the nose may draw negative comments, but I think I like it. The sepia adds to the sadness of the image. Well done.
