Hi, Barry! How are you liking that lens? I bought one but I think I'm going to sell it and upgrade. It doesn't seem very sharp on my images, especially when I take it out to the 210mm end.

Regarding this image, I love the colors very much, but the lighting is all wrong. The contrast is somewhat harsh and the glare is troubling/distracting. You can crop some of the distracting elements out but if you can take this again either with shade or on an overcast day, I think it would make a very fine picture. Great subject! Keep posting!

Well you successfully collected 2 symbols (I wonder how) but...
Too much rubbish on this picture. The wood and grass in unnecessary.
The main topic which eagle should be is nearly invinsible in such environment.

i certainly don't want to hurt your or anybody else's feelings, but imho "tears of pride" are not quite sufficient to create a good photo.

This isn't really a good photo, it seems out of photo, not compsed well - the tree in the way, the eagle seems over exposed..

Nice color, could be a bit sharper on the focus.

Interesting picture with lots of reflections, which somehow make the background a bit too busy...Also, in my opinion, the focus looks soft and seems to be a few overexposed spots on the bird, otherwise nice picture.

Barry, I like the subject. Perhaps if you would have cropped closer to the duck and his reflection it maybe a better shot. Try again it's Spring and there should be lots of them around.

It's lacking sharpness, which overall really hurts the photo. The colors are very flat, I can't see the colors like you. I would try to do a bit of PS on it and get the saturation up. I would experiment with some different film, something to pull the color out. Your composition is rather rough, the bridge is smack in the middle and the tree on the left is distracting for balance. I would work an angle up towards the bridge from low near the stream. Get the color you want and the reflection of the colors. Experiment. Well done none the less.

I love the overall relective tones in the water. The duck looks like a very cooperative model. My only suggestion would be to crop out the duck beak on the right as well as the green object in the lower right. Otherwise, very nice. See you also work with the same camera I use. I love it and it has kept me shooting for nearly 20 years.

Lens appears OK. I, too, have shot portraiture using a 50mm lens. Main light is a little hot, maybe by a stop or so. Nice expression on the models face. Well set-up.

Barry, welcome to Usefilm. Let me start by saying that I think this is well composed. The light is a bit harsh and it seems to be diluting some of the colors. Also, and I suspect you can blame your scanner for this, the photo here seems a bit soft. I figure the print or slide is probably much better.
