It's parents/grandparents etc. on the very first day of school 2003. I found them to be more interesting to shoot than the kids!

Hi Paul - just been looking through your portfolio and this photo intrigued me..... the lady at the front looks anxious, but in the background there are happy faces. Just makes me wonder what it is all about....? Good capture anyway!!

Paul

I saw the link on the PAW list, Another enjoyable shot or an often overlooked object. The leaf placement obviously helps. Great shot

One of my favorite photos. I saw it on the PAW list and simply loved it. It reminds me of home, just around sunset. Quiet time. Peaceful and relaxing. You captured it perfectly.

Thanks for sharing

The flowers really pop out with that IR filter. They seem to cascade down into the canal.

These are the kind of photographs that will hold a special meaning as time goes on, especially for the participants. At first one wants to hold it to an aesthetic standard, but really, what one needs to take into account is the occasion itself. In that context, the photograph has succeeded.

Beautifully shown light, really a pleasant picture. Good use of B&W, it sets a focus on geometry in the picture. Regards.

Paul,

Excellent B&W shot even for digital. The capture of the light rays makes this shot. You do need to burn the hot spot on the railing but other then that its a wonderful shot.

It's so visually satisfying. That's what comes to mind immediately. The eyes are attracted to the geometric lines; and how solid the beams of light seem to be. I'm wondering what it would look like without the mini trampoline. Not a problem, really.
