Very artistic composition. Your use of the large black area on top enhances the feel of the nocturnal void and the fleeting blurred lives of the people below. Very thought provoking. Excellent image.

Wow what a shot! The composition, lighting, colors, focus....all perfect. Somebody should give you an award for this one. Congratulations on a superb photo.

Nice! I like the way you can almost feel the texture of those petals.

Hey one of your friends told me that you attached that poor bird to your hand with super glue. I hope it's not true. Great shot regardless, Chelsea.

Why isn't this shot an Editor's Choice? Altaf wake up. Terry, even if the dummy doesn't recognize it, I think the shot is simply superb. Congratulations.

Hey I love those clouds. Nice lighting on the grass too. The morning I was there in August there was a bison herd roaming all through that area.

Hey Terry, nice expression but methinks you may have overdone the sharpening on the young lady. She looks like she was cut and pasted onto the scene or she was standing in front of an out of focus photo of a greenhouse.

Hey Mary Sue, it's right off the main road going north of town....about 5 miles north of the airport and a bit north of that turnoff where you always see the moose below the bridge. I think they have chained up in there for the tourists. In the mountains during summertime you always want to shoot early in the morning to avoid the haze like Jim Christensen got in his photo. I like mine more than his. My only regret is that I didn't have a view camera with me but I had to shoot Z's wedding in Livingston MT the day before. Have a nice trip out there and don't miss the Snake River Grill for dinner. Also, the Rusty Parrot serves dinner now. Stay there if they have room...Bill

Thanks for your comments Jorg and Sony, Only Terrence knows how completely hopeless I am with computers. Otherwise I would certainly have posted this photo as a panoramic shot. It looks gorgeous Sony, thanks. My only regret is that baggage restrictions didn't allow me to take a 4x5 on this trip. Maybe a Mamiya 7II with the panoramic adapter would have been a good option too. Hmmmmm.

Nicely shot Chels. I wonder what the view would have looked like if you were closer to the ground with the plants real close in the foreground.

I think that at this point you go from simple photos to art. I don't think I really like this piece but there's enough content and merit to call it fine art.

I bet this was Alcatraz Island and having seen the other 3 photos this is my favorite. I particularly like the subtle tones and texture in this piece. The scene looks like it should be gritty and harsh but it isn't, maybe due to the narrow dof. Nice capture al.

Wow, great colors and terrific texture Eric. The image is so sharp I think you need to take a stylist with you next time to smooth out any ruffled feathers.
