Thanks Avi, PinHole photography is new to me and very interesting. Once you calculate the exposure then it is all about composition.

Thanks again

Thank you Dubravko, The Holga is a lot of fun to use. I am doing a two year project in a memorial and nature preserve and I plan on using the Holga to capture some of the spiritual nature of the memorial.

Thanks again,

Bob

Thanks Sam, I appreciate your comment. I have just started playing with the Holga and it is a lot of fun. I toned the photograph using 'Power Retouch-Touche-Toned Photos' with a silver gelatin tone and the edges were roughed using 'Photographic Edges, otherwise it is as taken by the Holga.
Thanks again,
Bob

Hi Wayne, thanks. The little guy is on the rock however I did some post processing. I roughed up the edges with 'Photographic Edges' and I toned the photograph using 'Power Retouch-Touche-Toned Photos' with a silver gelatin tone.

Hi aLi, your right on about the cost of film vs. digital. To control costs I am currently limiting my film usage to medium format and when I have the film developed I do not print proofs but I do have them scanned onto a CDROM. By not printing I cut the cost in half. In addition to the Mamiya I have a Holga which uses 120 film.

The photographs in this series, all titled Avalon, are the beginning of a project to film the Avalon Park and Preserve. The park and preserve capture me and I thought it would be a good project. All of the photographs in the final showing will be from film, either the Mamiya or the Holga.
Cheers,

Bob

Thank you aLi Naghizadeh, I appreciate your comments. I have recently re-discovered film after purchasing a Mamiya C330 from by brother-in-law. I shoot mostly digital however the 6x6 format and film work well in landscape.
Thanks again,

Hello, it's beautiful, wonderful, thank you. Regards.

Serafettin Akbalik,
Thanks you for your kind words. The macro photographs of the fruit and flowers, in your portfolio,
are quite beautiful as are the photographs of Istanbul. The composition is very good.

Regards,
Bob Kelly
or
Bob Kelly

Thanks Ale, your right about the size. I have a 12 x 18 inch print on the wall in my office. Much more enjoyable than this thumbnail.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your comment. When I prepared the photograph I used a blue toning, perhaps too much. I do like your version.

The background is intentionally soft, I used a 90mm (135 mm equiv) and wide open. I wanted just a suggestion of the city.

Thanks again, Bob

Thanks Steve, the frog was found in an inside atrium, no idea hoe he got there. We took him outside to let him go and he hopped on to the tree. After he let me photograph him, he hopped off and disappeared into the woods.

Thanks Nessa, I had photographed the castle in color however I think that the b7w with a bit of toneing does add to the atmospher.

Thanks Nessa, this was taken at the South Street Seaport, in New York City, on a Sunday afternoon. A great place to photograph Street vendors and Buskers.
