I've seen an awful lot of butterfly shots this summer, Scott, but this one is up there with the best of them. I didn't see the origianl, but this one really works for me!

Great capture, excellent detail on the butterfly. The highly colorful and blurred background really make this photo work.

Hard to get those butterflies to hold still on flowers while you get close enough for a photo. Slightest movement can send the critters flying away. And who says you a little enhancement with the computer is unfair, or can't produce a great picture? Nice!!

Perhaps you did this on purpose, but the first things that pop out at me when I look at this image are the blown highlight areas. This is particularly true of the top flower. Could be your light was too harsh. Were these flowers in direct sunlight?

But I do like the composition, especially the main subject flowers on the right. A tiny bit more background blur would make them stand out more.

A nice shot, but imo it would be better if the bud on the left was sharp and if there were not so many or big blurred flowers in the background; they distract from the bud, which seem to be the main subject. Regards
