Very nice shot John. I might head south to Michigan for some lighthouse shots this summer. The lighthouse here in Collingwood has sparked my interest.

This is a very subdued image. I like that the cannon itself is almost silhouetted against the brighter sky. I am guessing that you had the mm of the lens closer to the 15 mm range than the 35 mm end. You can almost see what the soldiers who manned this gun would have seen when they were getting ready for battle.
I think that you have captured a memorable shot of the battle field.
Regards
Andrew

John - a reasonable image under less than optimal lighting. Plus, you did a credible job of exposure in a high contrast situation. But, the focus look a bit soft.

Nice lines and composition, I've definatly got to get to Arizona some day! BTW, this site has a max of 300kb/photo, so even 150kb seems like a good tradeoff. Cheers, Dave

Thanks for the comments, didn't crop at all. Just too large of a file for some of the other sites I post at. I try to save my shots at 80kb. To save at 72dpi would have made this about 150kb which is too large for most sites. Thanks for the comments. JB

I recognized it for what it was worth and took 6 shots of this to make sure one would come out. If you were in Upper Antelope that day and heard "Holy Crap" bouncing off the thin walls, sorry if I disturbed you, but that's what caused it. Thanks again for the nice comments. JB

Oh, don't worry John, I'm about to tell you just what I think. This absolutely rocks! I can see the eyes, nose and flowing hair/beard. Did you see this when you shot it or was it a nice surprise when you got the film developed. Great title, great shot.
