I like the John Hancock more because you can park in the building (6th thru 12th floor) and you don't have to leave the building in the cold weather to go up to the observation deck. There is a nice restuarant on the 95th floor and I believe the cost is less then the Sears Tower. Just my personal preference.

Thanks for the advice. From looking at the map, the planatarium looks like a good angle. I was thinking about going to the Sears Tower observation deck. Which one do you prefer? (John Hancock or Sears Tower)

Thank you for your comments to my photos. While in Chicago try a make it up to the John Hancock Bldg (94th floor observatory) and a must see spot is the city view as seen from the Adler Planetarium. That is my favorite view of the city.

Great candid shot. I'm going to Chicago on the 14th and 15th of January. I've never been there before. I'm only going to be there for 2 days. I might spend the whole night I'm there roaming the city taking pictures. What's the best area to take pictures without walking all over? I only have 2 days to get the good pictures.

I can see why this made it into a magazine. The composition is perfect, the lighting is perfect, the colors are perfect, and you added a creative effect to it.

I know the moon isn't that big, but I like the way it looks. I'm going to Chicago next week. Do you know of any good spots for pictures?

Dear Mark,

Good name for your photograph composition.. This scene reminds me theatrical movie title "CROW"..
Good luck for your future shots and congratulations!

Great image and title.

By any chance did you get a shot from directly underneath, and do the other Gargoyles have different faces as is most often the case? I'd love to see the other three if they do.

Well captured and exposed.

I do wonder if it might have looked even more impressive (given the colour of the wing walker) if he had been placed in the top left third position. The trailing smoke would have led you to the aircraft. Not sure if you could crop this to get that image, it obviously depends on how nuch of the original we are seeing here.
