Only one thing is distracting to me. At the top of the photo that light circle. If you cropped it just below that, IMO, it would be better.

Great shot. I haven't tried long exposure with a digital yet. The reflections make this photo work.

The sunset in the horizon and the sky are pretty nice, but I would like to see more detail in the cars on the right side of the photo. Unless you wanted them to be sihlouttes. Do you remember what shutter speed was that you used? It is a nice composition. If you want to get more details in the entire photo try pointing the camera at something else in the photo near the sky, but don't include the sun. Then set the aperture and shutter speed for those readings that the meter is getting. Then use your composition with the other settings and shoot it again and you should get more details in the entire photo.

Thanks for the comments. This was taken in Door County, Wisconsin on a January night. It was very cold outside so we set-up the cameras in the backyard at the cabin we stayed in and went inside for the duration (had coffee while waiting).

I like this effect. What is it? I have elements also and don't know what was used to create this.

This is very good PS work. I haven't done much with layers yet, in fact the City Moon photo was my first composite photo using two seperate photos and using layers to put them together. I've done double exposures with the camera before, but not in PS.

I would like to add...have your model move away from the backdrop about 2 feet (at least). You can soften the lighting by using a diffuser in front of the light source.

I like this photo you have here, better then the one I have of this lighthouse. The cloudy sky really makes the lighthouse stand out. It gives the photo some impact. The only thing I don't like is the angle. The fisherman's head is too close to the breakwater in the background.

This is a nice B/W in my opinion, I like contrasty photos, especially B/W. I'm an NYIP grad. I do color photography of lighthouses and low light stuff.

This photo appeared on NBC (5) news on 11-5-03, where viewers can send in a weather related photo to Brant Miller (weatherman) and if selected it will be on the nightly news and you get a photo credit for it being shown.

I like the tree, but the bright area on the left is a little distracting. I tried shooting the cedars in the same spot and wasn't too pleased with my own results. This is a tough place to photograph.
