The foreground in the photo is a little distracting, it takes away from the powerful colors of the subject above.

I like the John Hancock more because you can park in the building (6th thru 12th floor) and you don't have to leave the building in the cold weather to go up to the observation deck. There is a nice restuarant on the 95th floor and I believe the cost is less then the Sears Tower. Just my personal preference.

Thank you for your comments to my photos. While in Chicago try a make it up to the John Hancock Bldg (94th floor observatory) and a must see spot is the city view as seen from the Adler Planetarium. That is my favorite view of the city.

This is a very good shot. I can't hand hold my shots at night. My digital camera isn't that good. My film camera is great, but I use slow film for night shots (very slow shutter). I saw your Millennium park photos. All are very good too. Thanks for your comment to mine.

Yes, they did and they had an Indian stone carver here to fit everything. I did have some exposure problems with this one. I thought I compensated enough for the sun, but I guess not.

This is a nice sunset photo. Maybe a little minus exposure compansation on the lighthouse so more of its detail would be visable.

I created the "glow effect" by first using the Magnetic Lasso Tool and carefully went around the subject (in this case the Iris). Next click on SELECT then INVERSE (on the tool bar). Next click on FILTER>GLASSIAN BLUR. Then SELECT>DELSELECT. This now has blurred the background. Zoom in using the "Navigator" and select the CLONING STAMP and clone the blurred area up close to the flower's edges. I used a brush size of 9 first then used a brush size of 35 and blurred the edge of the flower.

Rob, first, thanks for adding me to your "friends list". I added you to my list. This is very good night time shot with a digital. I have a Fujifilm S5000 digital and have not tried night shots like this with it. Any pointers?
