great tones, excellent picture

but in terms of framing, more of the sky usually looks better in these kinds of pictures. But, then you would've lost the main subject of the picture - the duck.

I wonder how it would've been had you just framed the duck, exposed for it to make it even whiter and the rest of the frame would be the greenish water body.

By the way, how do you like this Canon 300D. I am seriously thinking of taking the digital dive. Does it expose well when the flash is being used.

This is a wonderful landscape. I think capturing the S-curve of the lake, reflection of the sky on the water, and the wonderful colors is exquisite. Where is this picture actually taken from?

I think it's a wonderful setting and a picture as well. The red, white and blue combination is very vivid and pleasing.

By the way, is the sun directly behind it, or to the left of the lighthouse? The light and shade contrast on the body of the house makes me think so.
