I think you shouldn't print it - printers and printing papers is not good for photography. You should developed it with a mat paper. I think - it will be great effect.

I see what you mean, I have only looked on an LCD screen. I guess the best thin to do would be for me to print the image and see if it's how I would like it to be. Then again, not all printers are the same either :)
Still, thank you for your comments as they have made me think about the image and how others see it.

I looked at this picture on two screenes: LCD and CRT. On LCD picture is OK (darkness is heterogeneous), but on CRT I see only "flat" darkness without depth.
Look at this photo:

on two screenes (LCD and CRT). Interesting effect, isn't it?

Thank you for your comments, However I think that if I were to make the image lighter so that the things in shadow were more detailed and visible, it would take away from the overall atmospehere and also be untrue to the actual place photographed which was very dark (you can see I used a 30 second shutter speed to take the image). Of course, brightness could be down to actual moitor set-up, so I'll look at the photograph on another screen to see if it looks the same to me.

Interesting capture, but for me it needs just a little bit light. Maybe try to use a graphical software to "put off" things from shadow. For now: only "5" - for an idea.

It's true about the busy backgrounds. There's actually someone behind the hood looking at the engine. I had to wait for him to bend down enough not to see him to take the shot. I was lucky really, could have had lots of people walking in front of the lens too.

Nice 1932 Ford Roadster. The angle of the picture with the big headlights put's the car in prospective. Nice picture and bright colors.

Neat idea. However, since the crop is tight (which works well for this shot) the door being open does not add anything to the image and is slightly distracting since it changes the lines of the image.
