Ah, you changed your country to Canada. Makes more sense now.

This photo is very good. Great composition. Could be on a brochure. I'm ready to travel there!

thanks very much for the advice Mr Miller, i'm kicking myself now because I cropped a lot off the bottom, because someone was trying to teach me about the rule of thirds, and i've deleted the original! anyway ive got about 20 similar shots taken the same time which i might upload.

This is a super shot, showing a beautiful landscape and capturing wonderfully the skill of Glen at work. If I could nit-pick a little, I would suggest that just a little more space at the bottom of the image beneath the sheep would make this even better.

this crop was grass silage, which is made by growing a crop of hi quality grass e.g perrenial rye grass as was in the photo, then when its at the stage where it contains the most energy, just before it flowers and becomes fibrous,(so that the leaves are young and pallatable for the cows) it is cut using a forage harvester which cuts and chops the grass into small lengths, its then carried to a silage pit in trailers, where its compacted with a tractor and sheeted so that it can ferment without air getting to it and keep its energy value untill the winter, When its used to feed cows when the grass stops growing and the cows are inside because the fields are so wet.

Nice composition, Cliff. I like the lines in the field and the harvester adds an interesting element.

So what is "silage"?

Lovely area! So you are in B.C, Canada? You're location above says United Kingdom?

The foreground is a bit too dark (understandably) but the mountains are just beautiful. I hope to one day see the Rockies.

Nice colors and silouttes! I like the color of the original one better. The edited one is cropped better though. Only other thing i'd suggest editing would be the cow's eyes. I know it's a reflection, but they kind of look hollow and creepy. :)

Very nice shot, Cliff!

Here it is straightened out a bit. It's not noticable until it's large on the screen. I may turn this one to black and white too. Think it would look neat.

as i remember it was cold, but no actually, he was trying to immitate a loon's call because there was a pair of them on the lake, i paddled quite close but the photo i got of them wasn't much cop!
poor lobbies!:)

Looks cold, but I'm guessing it's just a duck call he has in his hands? You shoot ducks and bunnies but complain about cooking lobsters? :)

The only issue with this shot is that it's crooked, which is understandable from one boat to another. That can be fixed on the computer though. Don't suppose you have Photoshop? (It's pricey, I only have it through work.)

I'll straighten it out for you when I have a few minutes.
