Beautiful exposure: a threatening dark sky over a still brightly city.

I do not mind at all Dave; Actually, I am here to learn. These pictures are not retouched, except for cropping and compression. Not even Sharpened. I am learning Photoshop Elements and CS2. I know very little of these packages. I use Nikon Capture which is not that sophisticated. Thanks for your comments.

Beautiful...I love you florals, and your use of lights, and your country. In January I will take pictures in Buenos Aires. I love the crowds on Florida Street in downdown BA.

I am using sRGB III. It is the compression engined. I tested less rigorous compression, and the banding is gone, and images are about 390k now. I will that to see what happens when I upload new pics. As Always, I appreciate your advice,

They are highy compressed. I use the highest compression ratio, reducing the picture from 6 MB to 51K, without cropping it. I will try a different compression value.

It does help, thanks. I purchased Photoshop Elements to try it out, before I invest in CS2.

It is probsbly from the compression engine. It take the pic grom 6MB to 300KB, with huge loss of info I will get a trial of Photoshop Elements and see how I like it.

I followed your advice and I got better results last night at f/8 1/400s ISO 200 ( if I remember corectly. I will post a new one later. I use Nikon Capture for processing image lighly, and Photphop 5.0 (???) for air brush and retouch on other pictures. I do not retouch the picd that I display up here. It is just for fun :)

Dave, I tried manue, f/8, f8 1s, 2s 4s o, tripod and nothing would work. I would get no details at all, just over exposed light bulb. I just could not understand it. I never took a picture of the moon before. I ususally do nature, and birds, and lancape. I will try these settings tonight. Thanks BTW ISO was 400. The image looks graining becasu it used to be a 6MB pic reduce to 300KB to accomodate upload restrictions.
