Nice scene. I think that vertical composition would be better for this shot. Best wishes, Michalis

It's perfectly set up for a book cover... now you just have to write the book! *grin* Thanks for the explanation!

Actually, the only reason was that there were lots of boats, and if I'd gone any lower they would have messed up the one basic colour of the background. I tried cropping it square, but didn't really like it. I did take a few horizontal shots, but they were also constrained by ugly stuff I didn't want in the photo. In the end I liked this one the best.
Hmm, maybe I can make it into a book cover...

I like the angle and the colour mix in this shot, but I find all that empty space at the top not needed. I'm sure you framed it this way for a reason though, and I would love to hear your comments.

one thing i notice is on left hand side yoiu only hae half a person in the photo. pan to the left a bit and you have the whole person. minor framing issue really, but something we forget to consider when taking photos sometimes.
in public transit places like this i found the station at the end of a line is usually good because the crowds are smaller and less people to get in the way. or if on one of the platforms already, go to the end where the train either arrives at or departs from.
best wishes ~ james
