Hi Derick, I don't think you were too late for this image at all. I find this kind of colour more attractive than when fall is at it's showiest. (is there such a word? ) Andre

Well done Derick! As Bill says, the light really suits this one. Nice detail with the intermingling of the old and new buildings. Andre

This was at a great zoo, and the African animal area had several different animals together. In this area alone, Zebras, Giraffes, Ostriches, and a few others were all roaming together. Thanks for taking a look!

Thank you so much for taking a look. This really was an example of not knowing what I had till it went in the computer. These are such amazing animals, it was a pleasure just to be among them!

Thank you very much for the advice. I do agree that the cropping helped the image. I'm usually very picky on my cropping, but that totally went in one eye and out the other. I think I looked at it too much actually. Thank you again for your kind words and your edit!

Very nice juxtaposition, and well-spotted abstraction. I liked Aziz's suggestion of cropping out the distracting bits in the upper left. So, I'm proposing the attached cropping. Let me know what you think.

yes, it is a very nice outcome , reality is so subjective, we tend to have a look at the world only with the human eye.But this shows a different view.

Derick
Thanks for your recent comment on my "gaping for light" offering on usefilm. Your work reflects careful consideration given to composition and lighting. And most of all, your porfolio has the most a important ingredient: diversity. I have glanced over your work and find it exceptionally good....congrats and cheers to you. I predict you will have a long and successful career in photography. We have a great butterfly house in St. Louis County, Mo. and it is a photogs Mecca!
