I've pictured the upper part in means to give exactly a counterbalance, a point of light to not saturate the whole picture. And I really wanted the faded light as well. For me, was really important to compose the frame and the shadows.
But, that is just my point of view :)

I tried to find the Danilo Bazzano's photo, but i couldn't...
I just moved to a house with a bathtub (i've never had one before) and I'm using it to make a little project called "mistake". This one is my favorite too, but i think i should try a better light position and exposition next time.
