Now, why did you suspect that anyone might think it WAS a PhotoShop image?
I think it is a good combination of a drop shot and refracted patterns. I like the idea of using drinking straws, essential props in my own "armoury".
The resulting patterns in the water at the bottom of the image are wonderful. However, I think you could have placed a greater number of straws behind in order to avoid the dark bands in the drops I also find the disturbance on the straws in the background a little distracting - is this perhaps drops of water from previous splashes?
Overall, though, this is pretty good - great colours and nice sharp drops. Please add the shutter and aperture info.

This is an accomplished portrait. Your subject looks like he's very comfortable in front of a camera, is he famous in some way? I'm not sure about the toning. I don't dislike it but suspect that such deep and penetrating eyes might look better in black and white.
