All I did was set up the tripod and set the shutter slow enough so I could use an off camera flash to flash my subject multiple times while she moved across. But I think it only flashed once or maybe twice. You can call it "painting with flash." It works well at night or when it's darker.

My teacher suggested that also and printed on watercolor paper. I agree, I think it would look great but I have yet to do it.
