Marcus, Interesting about the male and female colouring. These guys are pretty common up at our cottage. But, they are very shy. They don't let you get too close to them. Sometimes I swear they have a deal with the Herons :) The Kingfishers see me paddling along and fly up ahead and let the herons know I'm on my way. Andre

Ooooh you know how to make a fella jealous Marcus. I've been on the look out for Kingfishers all summer. Saw 2 travelling at about 100mph.
