About My buddy Chris up on stage at an Open Mike night at the Eastgate Theatre in Peebles. His beautiful Les Paul and Marshall Stack really do make a heavenly sound! Wide open the 50mm f/1.8 really goes quite soft but I needed the aperture given the low level of light. Also results in a very narrow DOF which is nice for throwing the drums out of focus but also gives a very narrow DOF on Chris himself.

Tech: 1/125th at f/1.8 and ISO 1600. No manip, frame in PSP9.

this is great picture. the lights and the DOF are amazing. The best thing however, is the look on your friend's face.
