About Taken last summer this was another attempt at capturing some butterflies in the wild. I'm not sure if it was a blessing or a curse that there was a major wind storm happening when I took this. I think that if these guys weren't holding on for dear life they would have flown away as soon as I got close, but since the wind was so strong they didn't want to let go. On the other hand it made for challenging photography with 50 ISO film in my camera to not get fuzzy shots with the flower whipping around in the wind. This was one of the good ones out of 12 images.
Thanks for your comments and for taking a look.

Very good effort for such poor conditions.

Unlucky with the wind. It would be really fantastic were this shot sharper.

Thanks for your comments, Kim!

Nice composition. I really like this. Very well done with the weather conditions! You've got a lot of really good photos in your portfolio. I particularly like your landscapes. Nice work.

I think the adverse conditions worked for the best in this case, Kim! I love the way they're facing one another, with antennae crossed - as though discussing the weather :) It's a shame that one of the butterfly's head is lost in the short DOF, but that same shortness makes the flower look really cool! I like it - a different butterfly shot!

Kim, the DOF is slightly off but otherwise a stunning shot. The background is amazing though. And, it almost looks like the butterflies are having a bit of a duel there. ;-)

I'm glad you persevered throughout the gusty wind to get this. Keep up the great work!

If you get a chance, please comment on some of my pics (my fashion-conscious butterflies are anxious for any and all feedback on their work).
