No Pat I took different readings with the 10 D and chose one in between as You say an advantage my Digital has ove the EOS 1 FILM have which has spot metering I could do with

Perfect exposure! Did you meter read under Ex? I always get blow outs of white birds. Of course I shoot film so I do not get to see the results right away.
