About Image from a photo class book project on dreams (the series contains images regarding flying/flight/birds). All images are self-portraits.
I used a lensbaby on my D70. Levels, saturation and some colour correction were adjusted in postprocessing.

LOVE that lens baby!! I have shot within my portfolio using that on my fuji - these are really creative shots. Nice work.

David, take a look at http://www.lensbabies.com to see what the lensbaby looks like (they also have some sample galleries). Basically it's a flexible little lens that allows you to do some tilting and shifting (scheimfluging) to have a selective area of focus.

The lens comes with these little rubber rings that you can swap out to change your aperature (f2.8, 5.6, 8 and 11 I believe). I've only mucked about with the 2.8 aperature ring and while it's tricky to get the results, it's fun as heck experimenting. Plus, I'm using the lensbaby on a digital camera so I can get instant feedback.

Great shot, and a lovely sense of depth, the deam like effect also gives it more of a 3d feel....

PS what is a lensbaby?

Roy, thanks for your comments :)

I love the D70, I think you get a heck of a lot of bang for your buck with this camera. I'm still in love with film and it's been a steep learning curve, but I can't believe how liberating digital can be. Expensive (camera, lenses, memory, new printer, speedlight etc.), but liberating.

So, I very highly recommend the D70. If you want to discuss further, feel free to email me: kym@skilesphoto.com :)

Kym,
Strong, Original and Beautiful!
Just Excellent. Could I ask how you like your D70? I'm thinking of buying a digital and would really appreciate your opinion.
Thanks for your time.
