As a Jew myself, I have to say:
1. a picture in black and white is usually beautiful;
2. but a Rabbi generally NEVER has a domestic animal (or in the previous century and before, maybe he had hens and other animals like that, for food purposes - certainly not a pet, sleeping on a couch inside the house!).
So you can call the picture "old man with dog", but "Rabbi" would not exactly seem very accurate to me.
If you change the title, your rate goes to 6/7, instead of 3/7...

My heart beats faster.... that expression from the man touched me! Thats a pure and real emotion from him... the details and texture is amazing asswell.. The composition is in a class for itself.. My oh my, what a picture! It is a photo collage, though, isn't it? The tonality of the two photographs do not match -- different light. It doesn't matter. The rabbi has such a sad and delicate face. A marvellous portrait. Rgds, Svend

Not sure it is one image but the results is nice. You should have used a indirect lighting to make the lights better linked.

Yuri, your images have a crispness aout them that few others can match. They are always an inspiration. To me they are sometimes a puzzle, this one for instance seems, on my monitor, to have different levels of toning between the Rabbi and the background, and I can't make up my mind on the lighting, the light on the couch is hard like direct flash and seems lower than the light on the Rabbi, which looks a bit diffused. Is this one image?. It is a great image. My compliments, Bill
