About This is the top of the "Boston Stump", in Lincolshire, UK. The story goes that either (not to sure on the detail, perhaps someone may correct me) the architect or the owner/builder/C of E died/ran out of money and the spire was never built. We're talking way back in history now. It, apparently, would have been the tallest spire, according to original plans, in the East of England.
