Thanks for the thorough comment, Chris.

To answer your question: I have a polariser and an ND grad (Ok, actually a Cokin gray grad.) but I don't always take them with me.

Besides, the lens I used on this occasion only takes rear-mounted gellatin filters, as the front element protrudes quite a bit, and at 15mm anything attached to the permanent hood would cause vignetting.

Thanks again!
Angelo.

This has a very strong sense of tension to it, and the metallic texture is great as well, the crop on the botom works well, with the right side slightly higher up. I think having the main point almost dead center is O.K. - to have the cropping that you went for on the bottom makes it worth the centered placement of the top. Out of curosity, do you ever use polarizers or ND filters in your work?

Regards,

Chris

Very eye-catching subject! I love the brilliant golden color of the building, its shape and the angle at which you shot it. An example of a good reason to sometimes have a subject in the center of a shot.

Hi Angelo, Very dynamic shot, eventhough the composition is a bit static. Amazing piece of architecture, very well captured. Very strong image.

Cheers,

very original architecture, I like it with the wide-angle-lense super perspective

Dear Angelo,

what a stunning composing. the geometry part is just amazing (good to have that 15-30 mm), and the colors shine through very well. while I like the centered position in the horizontal line, I personally would add a bit more sky to get an even better feeling of actual height. but really just a personal feeling.

great work!
take care, Thilo

Jorge,

Stratford is in East London, east of the City of London, past Bethnal Green and before Leyton and West Ham. It is a London Underground station, and also a sezeable bus hub and mainline rail station. It is in the route for the new Channel Tunnel rail link and should see major investment and development if London wins the bid for the Olympics as a lot of sites are to be build in wasteland around this area.

You can see part of this clock also as background in my "Capoeira in London" shot.

Thanks for the visit!

Thanks for the visit, Danny.

You are in tune with the visitors. Most seem to prefer this, the third one.

I am not so in tune. My personal favourite is the second one.

To think that I only uploaded the this one to make up a trey... Shows how much I don't know! ;)

Hi Angelo - fantastic angle from which you shot this picture, the structure and the colors are really fantastic, it looks like a gold object from ancient Egypt.
The perspective is so good due to the wideangle lens.
