In my family I am the grandfather, or at least am regarded as such, as all the grand-children I am in contact with are not mine but my wife, Rachel's. My two daughters and their children had their minds poisened against me after a very traumatic divorce and although Rachel and I made an attempt to repair the rift a few years ago, this lasted only for a few months and was torn appart without an explanation after some time.
Thank you for your lovely comment on my "Age and company" and convey my best to your grandfather.
By the way, I will be 75 next February 18th and can only wish to keep my wits the way your grandfather does.
