As a panorama lover, John, I think you are more likely to appreciate this kind of photo than most, but the positive reaction is much appreciated! The 28mm Nikon lens is considerably wider (using 120 film) than the 30mm on the Xpan. Maybe too wide for all but interior shots, which is why I made the comment. From next week I will start making the rounds of our churches, so we shall soon see..

Matsukawa San. Scanning, stitching, and resizing, etc., for Usefilm took about an hour for the one shot! (That's not counting the time for making mistakes and computer "freezes" because of the big files...)

Williams San, Congratulations on uploading of your first panorama photograph taken by Voyageur. At last, I got to see it. So fantastic image, I think. By the way, how long did it to take to upload this panorama including scanning time from the 22cm long negative and so on. Koichi

If my scanner could scan the entire negative, I would not need any software, Louisa! But to answer your question, I used a commercial program called PixMaker. I tried several, and found this worked best (when I was stitching many panoramas) although it is not perfect. I'm glad you like the result! I am quite pleased with it...

Glad you liked it, Chris! The scanner is on the blink but I managed to get it working again. I can make quicktime VTRs but normally prefer using a tiny Java applet that downloads automatically. I hope to set this up on the office server some time next week, and will let you know (you'll need Java enabled). As for people, well I stood in the shade with my remote control and waited, and waited, and... you get the idea.

good idea and very well done, especially the texture of the floor works very well here; what software did you use?

The mind boggles at all that goes into producing an image like this, Roger! It is utterly superb!! Dos this mean you have your scanner up and working again? And have you got the software that will enable you to make a QuickTime VTR out of this? I very much look forward to seeing more examples from this amazing camera! Kind regards, Chris. P.S. One more question! How on earth did you manage to take such a shot without any people in it?!
