kosta, thanks for the comment. The original image is much sharper as is the scanned one too. In usefilm after uploading the image, usually the sharpness is reduced. I'm uploading a sharper image hoping that it will look better.

well,Kosta...I think Jeff is right about a lighter background. I like the composition and the nice lighting of your picture :-) Such an image should be a bit sharper,I think,but that's probably the price we have to pay for scanning prints,instead of buying a nice digital slr! :-P

I like the composition and lighting. I find the black bg mutes some of the overal emmotion of the picture, for me. I would suggest experimenting with bright colours in the background. Sometimes I hang up a fine piece of silk, just enough to catch some light to show its color. I think this photo would really jump out with a light blue or magenta bg. Great photo.
