Usually, when I make a nature shot or a landscape I try to eliminate the "hand of man" even though we know there are not many unspoiled areas of the planet. I would like this better without the trash cans. On the other hand, I made a series called "Ah, Nature" inwhich were featured old tires, beer cans and bottles, to show how they can spoil the environment.

Dear Friend, Nice view on garbage ;-) pollution is everywhere ;-( thank you for your comment on my urban symbol, and I cannot argue with you, dear, cause you are so right. I have so much problems to reach that place, cause everything is under construction and a lot of blocks and mud are there, so, I just can find a proper and clean place to put on my tripod and make the shoot, that is why everything is upside down ;-) TOnight I will do it again, hope I will find a better place for shooting, or I am getting dirty ;-) thank you dear Bjorn Kisses and Love and Understanding, Biliana

Beautiful subject and perspective. I agree with Chris Lauritzen about saturation and about cropping out the barrels even if the title doesn't have sense anymore without them. Best regards, Paolo
P.S. Thanks for your comment (http://www.usefilm.com/image/244518.html); about the duck, it's not a composite; it was really there. There's just one thing I must say...I've compressed the shot vertically as it was too tall...and the swan has become a duck! :-)

Get much closer to the barrels, as Hermen said. Show them in their full "glory".

If the barrels are your subject, you should give them a little bit more attention (i.e. go closer to them or zoom in more). Also I think the shot is a little bit overexposed, a bit less exposure will yield more brilliant, saturated colours.

Bjorn,
I think the image as a whole does not work but I also think with more ssturated colors and cropping out the trash (I know that was the point of the image)the image works better.

Hi Bjorn, I agree with you, there is nothing WRONG with this photo but it just does not grab your interest. I would say though those yellow things(barrels?)are too distracting, your eyes go straight to them, maybe if the background were sharper and the foreground less so you would be drawn into the picture more?
Hope this helps keep up the good work Bjorn
