About This picture was taken at Emerald Ridge (west side of Mt Rainier National Park) While my brother and I were hiking the Wonderland Trail (circumnavigates Rainier). I turned around, saw this meadow and was in awe of it's beauty. You can see my brother in the center of the picture. The trail was yellowish with sulfur (hence the title) I really wished that I had some better camera equipment at that time. The fuji film saturated remarkably well.

I don't agree that this needs velvia or sensia... it would probably look better with them, but the way it is now is stunning. You did a great job with colour neg. film to capture all the variations of colour and the vista.
Tack sharp and stunning. I like your brother in there as he isn't really noticeable, and it gives some scale to the image... I'm guessing by this discussion you didn't take one minus the bro?
I hope to get a shot like this sometime in my life! Great job!

I sure would loved to have seen this on Velvia or Sensia. Needs a slow film and a tripod!!!!

Great shot. A variety of colors and contrasts in this one image. You have also composed it very well. Yes, you could easily delete your poor ole bro. I would probably have never noticed him had you not mentioned it. But honestly in this case, since he is YOUR brother and it is your image...I'd keep him. Nice job!

Barry, I though about removing him from the picture before, but now you have me really curious. I will tinker around in photoshop and see what it looks like. I would really like to go back one day and bring some good equipment. (it's two days in though)

No offense, but I'd rubber-stamp your brother out of the image and then hang it on the wall! ;)

good composition nonetheless:). the colors, even with the cheapie negative film you used, are still good and pretty vibrant. very nice scene.
