Bien vu. Pas toujours facile de trouver un point de vue ou une situation originale à cet endroit. Amicalement

Matej, the shot was taken at the end of the afternoon and this side of the pyramid was in the shade, so you are true when you comment that the couple is a bit dark. I have tried to compensate with a little dodging, but tried to avoid washing it out. Visually, the Arch of Triumph serves as counterpoint to the couple (visually, and emotionally) as well as it helps to set the monumental envrionment.

Good work Christian. Portraying the living, feeling couple amidst all that 'cold', strict geometry, whilst also showing us that older piece of architecture (the Victory what-do-you-call-it-in-English?), just visible in the background, which, too, contrasts with the glass and steel of the pyramid. I do think, though, that perhaps the couple are a bit on the dark side.

Very nice and sentimental photo, Christian! I really like the strong lines and rigid geometry of the photo, broken by the soft, rounded shapes of the couple - makes for a nice contrast. The piece of the arch at right feels a little incongruous to me, but then again the pyramid itself is incongruous in that setting, isn't it? P.S. Thanks so much for your kind comments on my photo!

Thank you all for your comments, Patricia, je ne crois pas que la photo soit inversée, avec l'Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel à droite qui ouvre sur les Tuileries.

A lovely, classic image of the pyramid but not so easy to capture. It seems every time I am in Paris the fountains are drained for cleaning... Driving me crazy though because it feels like it has been flipped right to left -- am I right? Patricia

Impressive piece of architecure you've captured superbly. Very nice composition. I like the effects of the reflections. It's as if the couple is sitting on some pipeline suspended above the water. Well done Regards
