About An abandoned train bridge in Ottawa, Ontario.

The scanned negative was rotated slightly. This looks approximately like the print I made. I can't scan the print because it is too large a print for my scanner.

Sky is bright but this makes the girders stand out starkly which I like. The symmetry and composition is great. Almost like looking into infinity or mirrors face to face.

Well this is about as 'Symmetrical' as it can get and that is coming from a Real Estate Photographer who has been shooting all kinds of Architecture for years! What is MOST impressive is that the entire scene does NOT need a frame because of the shape of the bridge itself and of course the extremely accurate composition! Furthermore ... B&W was this image's destiny ...

Very well done and Best of Regards!

I like the exposure (washed out sky helps focus attention on the bridge). I wonder what it would have been like if you had put the bridge vanishing point higher in the frame instead of lower. The girders pull my eye down until I hit the gap, and then I get lost. Would the down angle help close that gap, or put more emphasis on the tracks?

I love symmetry and you nailed this one Roy. A print must look wonderful. Excellent.

Nice lines and tones here Roy. I'm thinkin that it would look alot better in print though. The small size doesn't do this one justice. Great contrast and tones here.

i think this is a great picture- i love the strong solid lines and shapes- the brightness of the sky doesnt bother me- i think it actually makes this photograph stonger, for it contrasts so sharply with the beams. good work!

great lines, great framing, great DOF...a very pleasing photo. the sky is quite bright though...but there isn't much you can do about that fact. it doesn't take away from the photo though, i like the whole picture a lot.
