About I have retouched this one very strongly. The T70's batteries were empty and so it couldn't role the film back into its case. But I didn't know that it was just the batteries that needed replacement, and so I thought that the camera was defect. So, I opened it and took out the film which I roled back manually. Thanks heavens it was at position 34, so I thought I wouldn't lose that much. But after its development I saw that this one has been "half" out of the role. It was not completely destroyed but it had a red overcast (almost burned) on the right half. I liked it too much for not trying to save it somehow, and at the end I am glad that I didn't give it up. I can only hope that it doesn't look "half-burned" after the work with PS. Any comments would be very welcome.

Aaah, OK Saad, now I understand! I thought you meant the pool that is under the running water and since it is off image I couldn't see what you mean but now I do. Yes indeed, these are the remaining damages. They are not the real color of that area in reality. I guess I could get rid of them by lowering color saturation there.

Cheers!

Indeed, Sandip. The pink color at the left is from the accident with this one. I can only be glad that it is not more that makes the accident visible. And thanks heavens for the law of Murphy that didn't strike as often in my case.

The front part of the object is really less focused, now I see that too. I wanted to have it all in good focus, so this is definitely a mistake of mine. I assume now that I was too concentrated on the face. But even in case of a good focus over the whole object the water would (likely) be not as sharp because of motion blur. Which again dictates a wider aperture and a limitation of DoF. I think it would be better to retry this one under stronger light.

Thanks a lot!

Yes, the pinky tones are the last remnants of the almost burning of the image, Zeynap. I am glad if it doesn't look destroyed.

Thanks a lot!

Well done closeup, Nick, and the dof is perfect for this one! You've done well restoring it and the image is well worth the effort.

very good for you Nick,a lovely shot, and a fine faucet,it is only very little part of the pool that is affected,
Saad.

Hi Nick,

Really nice work .. some pink tinges in the right corner showing the signs of struggle (:)) .. but no clues otherwise ... I dont know .. but it always happens with your favorite shots ... Murphy's law i suppose .. nice composition ... and nice use of depth .. only one point .. the focus is more on the face (right side) .. while the muzzle looks a bit unsharp ... may be that's what you wanted .. personally i would have preferred a stronger focus at the water source ... nonetheless a commendable job both with camera and PS ...

Regards,
-sandip

No it doesnt look like burnt at all! I would have no idea about all its adventure if you didnt write it. I can make out some pinky tones when I look carefully for them, but they dont bother the eye, rather add to the image. You've saved it :)
