About Just for the fun of still and motion in a reflection inside simple geometry. I'd be very glad for any comments. BTW, what categories could this fit in? Cityscape is solala...

Thanks a lot, Dave!

Actually the train was standing beside the platform. Still I am very glad that it is recognizable as a train.

Cheers!

Hi Avi!

You, off track? No, you rather tracked me bavck on rails again!!! I had only a vague cloud of that in my head, but you clarified that with just a few words, for which I thank you so much! The third category is the point of view of somebody just observing with more wondering than anything else - much like being invisible as a neutral observer an reporting about things.

So it's quite exactly what you said, and far away from all that useless pseudo-philosophical fantasy attitudes for the kindergarten. So I am very glad that it didn't cause any kind of "artistic-blabla-impression" to you. (You know what I mean. ;-)) I am also glad if it is still perceivable as a train, since from what we see it could have been any other kind of window of some vehicle or even of a wall/house too. Indeed it is a part of the door jamb.

About categories... here is a problem for me too, so many times. I try to avoid the category "others" because it is so.. undefinite, but so many times I just choose some category with many doubts about whether it fits or not. If we extrapolate everything to the endth degree then every category is right and wrong at the same time. Is it street, cityscape, transportation...? Well yes, but not quite, ey?

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the comment and the idea, Ian! OK, let's put it also under transport.

Cheers!

An interesting composition, here, Nick, like the fleeting glance of the passing scenery from the train! Well done!
Dave.

ohh and Category... hmmm.. you present me with the same situatio that I face EVERY time I have to choose a category for my shots !!!..

and you know what ? when I am too confused (as I usually AM), I just select 'Others' ... :):):):)

By classes of reality, did you mean:

1. The hard-working class (the crane)
2. The pretending-to-work class (office building)
3. The travelling and ever-so-happy class (you)

??

Or am I completely off the track ?? :)

I liked the composition with the inclusion of the window frame and part of the door jamb (?) ..

The contrast of environments is startling.
